The Chinese Student Association at University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULMCSA) is a professional, non-profit, non-religious, and non-political organization composed of Chinese students striving for excellence at University of Louisiana at Monroe .

Purpose

  1. To promote academic exchange and professional development.
  2. To improve Chinese student-faculty, Chinese student-local community communication.
  3. To serve as a bridge for the collaboration between China and the United States in personnel, science and technology, information, economic, trade and other areas.
  4. To promote friendship and communication among ULMCSA members.
  5. To support and further develop the outstanding traditions of Chinese people.

Activities

  1. Two annual meetings are held based on three traditional Chinese festivals: the Spring Festival in the spring, National day (October 1) and Mid-Autumn Festival in the fall.
  2. To organize academic meetings and conferences in various professional areas.
  3. To establish collaboration with other Chinese organizations.
  4. To organize exchange programs between China and the United States.
  5. To organize meetings and activities to promote interaction among its members and the exchange of information and expertise in their fields.

Members

ULMCSA is the largest international students' organization on the ULM campus. It is composed of any Chinese origin student or professional, HongKong student, and Chinese students from Taiwan Province acknowledging only one China in the world. Majority of members in the ULMCSA are pursuing doctor and master’s degrees in Business, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Communication, Education, Geosciences, Music, Computer Sciences, and Psychology.
